jjReader 0.8.0 is released!! Now you can search.

I just uploaded new jjReader version 0.8.0.

New features are:
  • Now you can search text :D
  • Improved bookmark user interface
  • Changed location of % of read in front of the title. I found some file that has long file name might hide it.
This is the first searchable version, so I might have some bug. Please send me a bug report.

Here are more features I am planning to improve:
  • Additional file format support: pdf, doc, pdb, epub, html,...
  • More screen option: background, margin
  • Code optimization - source code of jjReader is worst code ever because of this is the first android apps. :)
I am really appreciated with your bug report and ideas.

jjReader 0.7.6 is released!!!

I just uploaded updated jjReader 0.7.6 on the market.

This version has two new features that need to be very careful to use.
  • Automatic scroll - You can select scroll period on the setting page and start and stop on the context menu. When this function is on, screen will be never time out.
  • Screen keep on - If you set this option, reader screen never time out.
  • Enhanced user interface of bookmark feature
There two features might empty your battery because it would be never time out.

If you find any problem or bug, please send me an email or post comment here.

I am still working on search and after I finish the feature, then I will focus on jjComics.

Thanks.

jjReader 0.7.5 has small performance tuning.

That's it.

jjReader 0.7.4 is released.

I added more settings on the option dialog.
Now you can select either finger sliding or screen tab to move on the next or previous page.
And you can also disable or enable volume button or action button scroll option.

I am still working on search and automation page features.
I would be include on the next release maybe. :)

If you see any problem with this release, please let me know.

Bricked G1...

Really bad day today.

I might not be able to upgrade jjReader for a moment.
After I flashed new ROM file, I got bricked G1.
I cannot even go into the recovery mode.
Anybody know what to revive it, please let me know.

What is that copy protection stuff on the Adroid Market

Last time I released the previous version of jjReader on the Market dashboard, I check following option by mistake and unfortunately it is not undoable.

Copy Protection

Off (Application can be copied from the device)

On (Helps prevent copying of this application from the device. Increases the amount of memory on the phone required to install the application. Once copy protection is enabled, it cannot be disabled.)

I might need to change the name of the reader to remove this option.

jjReader 0.7.1 is released!!!

I just released new version of jjReader with some new features.
It is the first version of finger gesture screen scroll. So it might have some issue with that. Please send me an email if there is any issue.

New feature:
  • Finger scroll like Home screen is added. Move left or right your finger on the reader screen, then it will move on to the previous or next page. No more screen tab scroll. I would make this selectable on the option dialog.
  • Display file size and % of read on the file open dialog
  • Move seek bar to the dialog
Changes:
  • Modified file icon
Know bugs:
  • Word that is longer than one line, will stop you to move on the the next page
I started this application for my own needs. But if you have any suggestion or find bug, please send me an email.

Thanks.

Finally!!!! jjReader got smooth scroll...

I have spent so much time for smooth sliding scroll on the jjReader like home application.
Most of my trials were failed.
But yesterday, I finally succeed to implement smooth slid scroll.
Now I can move previous or next page my thumb gesture.
I'll deliver this to the market in the Weekend.

Thanks for waiting, if there are thought. :)
